If you proceed into the earlier thread replies, people were chatting about THEhotel's Spa, called The Bathouse. I was clarifying.

As for Vegas spas, it's all personal preference: I've done Qua at Caesars and didn't favor it. It was way too busy for me, over-designed and relied too much on flash and not enough on fine treatments. I've spa'd all over the world and still find Encore's treatments to be on-par with the best... And that includes La Prairie in Switzerland, numerous Aman resorts and almost every major in Las Vegas.

But like I said before, if you love Qua, then awesome! Far be it from me to tell you what's comfy and what's not

Club Houston has recently completed an 18-month renovation, and a celebration of the improvements was held in late January. Dennis Holding, a major investor in the club, says that Club Houston is now one of the showcase clubs in the country.

The club, which opened in 1973, has been a familiar gay social hub in Houston for nearly five decades, offering local gay men an alcohol- and drug-free alternative to the local bar scene.

The Club’s Early Years

Holding says the idea for a Houston club began in Cleveland, Ohio, where he had met gay entrepreneur Jack Campbell in 1971. Campbell had purchased an old Russian bathhouse in Cleveland and converted it into Club Baths, the first bathhouse for male lover men in this country.

Holding became a Club Baths investor after meeting Campbell and becoming a part of his social circle that included many other gay men from across the country. At that second, there were 14 Club Baths locations, and several men visiting from Houston for one of Campbell’s parties voiced an interest in having a Houston club.

A group of Campbell’s investors eventually decided on a tract of land in the 2200 block of Fannin for their new Houston undertaking. The investors

The Best Gay Saunas and Bathhouses in the USA

American bathhouses are often seen as pale imitations of their European counterparts. There’s a reason for this: most bathhouses were closed in the 80s on government orders. Those gloomy days have passed but many American bathhouses haven’t recovered from the forced shutdowns. San Francisco's exclude on gay bathhouses was only lifted in 2001: no major new bathhouse has yet to craft use of San Fran's more favorable legal environment.

That being said, there are some excellent - even world-class - gay bathhouses in the US. We’ve visited them all - tough gig - and gathered together a list of our favorites.

Steamworks (Chicago, IL)

Located in the heart of Chicago’s Boystown, Steamworks is a well-known institution among the city’s same-sex attracted community. This modern and upscale bathhouse offers a wide range of amenities, including private rooms, a large steam room, a whirlpool, and a fully equipped gym.

Steamworks is established to be a place where you can gain action with Windy Municipality hotties. It’s especially working at weekends. It’s also known to be one of the better-maintained queer saunas in the US. Many Travel Gay users have visited this sauna
