A Day in the Experience of Marlon Bundo, written by Jill Twiss and illustrated by EG Keller, is maybe one of the most adorable things I&#;ve ever read. This children&#;s book follows Marlon Bundo, the real-life rabbit of the Pence family, on his Very Distinct Day and it had me smiling the whole time with how obnoxiously cute it was:

HBO&#;s Emmy winning Last Week Tonight with John Oliver presents a children&#;s picture book about a Very Distinct boy bunny who falls in love with another boy bunny.

Meet Marlon Bundo, a lonely bunny who lives at the Naval Observatory with his Grampa, the Vice President of the United States. But on this Very Unique Day, Marlon&#;s life is about to change forever&#;

Marlon Bundo is a very fun bunny who recently relocated to Washington, D.C. from his dwelling in Indiana. He enjoys hopping through the garden, eating all his vegetables, and hula-hooping.

With its word of tolerance and representation, this charming bunny publication for kids explores issues of same sex marriage and democracy.

"Last Week Tonight" host John Oliver spoofed Vice President Mike Pence's children's novel "Marlon Bundo's A Evening in the Life of the Vice President" about the Pence family's pet rabbit.

The original Bundo book was penned by Pence's daughter Charlotte Pence and illustrated by second lady Karen Pence. Bundo will be touring the country (it's not transparent which Pence will be taking him on tour), with a stop at the Focus on the Family, a conservative religious organization that had a homosexual conversion therapy program until It was the Focus on the Family tour stop that raised Oliver's hackles, and inspired him to create his own book — "A Day in the Animation of Marlon Bundo" — in response.

"So congratulations, Pence, you even managed to ruin Marlon Bundo," Oliver said. "Now, none of us can enjoy a book about your rabbit—or can we?"

Oliver took some literary liberties with his version of Bundo's life: the late darkness host made the protagonist bunny gay, jabbing at Pence's social conservatism, which has put him at odds with the LGBTQ community.

"Now, there are a few small differences between the two books. You'll notice right away that our rabbit has a bow t

"My mention is Marlon, but my family calls me BOTUS. It's short for Bunny of the United States."

These are the words of Marlon Bundo, a pet rabbit belonging to Vice-President Mike Pence - or at least, these are his words according to a children's book presented by Last Week Tonight presenter John Oliver in a bid to rival Pence's own book about the bunny.

Within 24 hours of release, Oliver's book, penned by Last Week Tonight writer Jill Twiss, has topped the best-selling books list on Amazon.

The original book, Marlon Bundo's A Day in the Life of the Vice President, was written by Mr Pence's daughter Charlotte and illustrated by his wife Karen. It tells the story of the VP through the eyes of his family's rabbit.

Oliver's rival book, A Day In The Animation of Marlon Bundo, illustrated by E.G. Keller, tells the story of the same pet as he falls in love with and marries another male rabbit - taking aim at Pence's history with LGBT rights.

HBO's John Oliver just took trolling to another level.

The Last Week Tonight host took aim at Vice President Mike Pence Sunday night by releasing his own book about the Pence family's well-liked pet rabbit, Marlon Bundo. Except in his publication, Marlon Bundo is totally gay.

Pence's daughter Charlotte will publish a children's guide about their pet rabbit Monday. The book, Marlon Bundo's Day in the Life of the Vice President, is illustrated by Pence's wife, Karen.

But on Sunday's Last Week Tonight, Oliver pound the Pences to the punch by presenting—and immediately publishing—his own book, A Day in the Life of Marlon Bundo, which pours a considerable amount of scorn on the VP, who has faced accusations of creature anti-gay.

Oliver said that Pence is known for his "hostility to LGBT rights," pointing to a New Yorker article in October that claimed President Donald Trump joked about Pence's stance on lgbtq+ rights. According to the New Yorker, Trump motioned toward Pence when a conversation turned to LGBT rights, and said: "Don't ask that guy—he wants to hang them all."
