Winter Pride parade establish for Saturday at Park City Mountain

Summit Identity festival, formerly the Park Town LGBTQ+ Task Force, is hosting the parade with Park City Mountain this year.

Skis or snowboards are required: it begins at the top of Bonanza Express at noon Saturday, Feb. 22, traveling down Homerun to Legacy Lodge.

“We'll just gather for an informal lunch down at Legacy Lodge,” Summit Parade board member Virginia Solomon said. “We'll have decorations. We heard that some queens might be coming up from Salt Lake, so that'll be a good time.”

Park City Mountain spokesperson Emily McDonald said in a statement, “Park City Mountain is involved to hosting Winter Event , and we are haughty to be working with our partners at Summit Pride."

It’s a different corporation than QueerSki, which has held the Pride pride in years past. QueerSki said in a utterance earlier this month the resort booked another event on its preferred meeting, so it elected to pause the event indefinitely.

Elevation Utah Brightens up Winter

It’s time to ski off the winter blues! Elevation Utah is returning to Park City for its 15th Annual Gay Ski Week February 19–24, 2025.

Elevation was founded by Tom Whitman 22 years ago at Mammoth Lakes, California with the goal of bringing friends together elderly and new. The Park City event welcomes up to 1,500 skiers and riders for a week of serious fun both on and off the slopes.

Daily activities include skiing or snowboarding at a recommended mountain along with a casual lunch gathering. On Friday and Saturday, Ski OUT Utah will be leading Ski and Ride Mountain Guides at Park City Mountain for intermediate and advanced ability levels. This is a great opportunity to investigate the mountain with locals.

A highlight of Gay Ski Week is the après ski scene. Nightly events range from a VIP Wine Reception with complimentary wine, small bites, and mezcal tasting to the Gear Dance Party with DJ Joe Pacheco. Whether you attend one or all, you’re sure to acquire a great time!
