Exhibit Opening for Randy Homosexual – Photography-Based Paintings at King William Assn
King William resident Randy Gay has been making art in and about San Antonio for over thirty years. He describes his labor as photography-based digital paintings or drawings. Most of his work centers around iconic San Antonio locales. His work was recently featured in the San Antonio Express News and is on display in countless offices, hotels, banks, hospitals, court houses, and private homes in and around the city. His colorful interpretations of San Antonio landmarks are typically archival pigment prints on paper or canvas that resemble traditional watercolors or paintings. He also creates unique pieces that combine multiple images that are folded like an accordion or fan. Recently he has experimented with printing on metal, acrylic, and other substrates.
