LGBTQ+ Manchester

Manchester has a thriving LGBTQ+ scene, centred around the world famous Canal Street &#x; home of The Village . A beacon of celebration in the city, the Gay Village is a must for any visitor to Manchester.

Located just south of Chinatown, the village is not only a thriving hub for nightlife, but living proof that Manchester is one of the world&#x;s leading gay-friendly cities.

With a combination of bars, clubs, restaurants and green spaces set alongside a long stretch of the Rochdale Canal, Manchester&#x;s Gay Village has something to suit all tastes. The Village is also famous for hosting a number of regular annual events and special group activities &#x; perhaps most prominent is Manchester Event . Standing as one of the biggest Pride events in the UK, Manchester Pride attracts a colossal number of visitors to the city each year.

LGBTQ+ Mental Health & Wellbeing Back Services

We recognise that statistically LGBTQ+ people are at much higher risk of experiencing poor mental health, and are often faced with additional difficulties accessing mental health services and support. Thankfully, there are many incredible local and national organisations operating to ensure the wellbeing of LGBTQ+ people.

Rainbow Mind is a collaborative project between Mind in the City, Hackney and Waltham Forest (Mind CHWF), and Mind in Salford, providing a service aimed at tackling mental health issues for individuals within the LGBTQ+ community.
